Preliminary study of structural magnetic resonance imaging phenotypes related to genetic variation in Interleukin-1β rs16944 in adolescents with Bipolar Disorder.
bipolar disorder (BD), among the most heritable psychiatric conditions, is associated with an increase in blood markers of pro-inflammatory and pro-inflammatory gene expression in the brain post-mortem. Therefore, we examined the effects of pro-inflammatory interleukin-1β nucleotide polymorphism single (IL-1β) rs16944 on brain structures in adolescents with BD and healthy controls (HC) adolescents.
METHOD T1-weighted 3-T magnetic resonance imaging data were obtained for 38 adolescents with BD and 32 adolescents HC (14-20 years). Using FreeSurfer, a priori regions of interest analysis, examined the hippocampus, amygdala, dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC), and the tail of the anterior cingulate cortex, which is equipped with whole brain vertex-wise analysis of exploration. general linear models assessed the relationship between IL-1β rs16944 and ROI, controlling the sex, age and intracranial volume.
There rs16944 polymorphism-by-diagnosis interaction effects of IL-1β in the DLPFC; T-operator with BD has a larger surface area compared with non-carriers with BD. Meanwhile, HC T carriers had DLPFC smaller volume compared to non-carriers HC. In a point-wise analysis, the same real interaction in pars triangularis surface area of the lateral occipital cortex clusters and cluster volume.
Whole-brain analysis also produces major effect of IL-1β rs16944 polymorphism, in which T carriers should be greater lateral occipital cortex volume.The surface area and IL-1β polymorphisms associated with phenotypic rs16944 neurostructural in the area of cognitive and visual functions serve, including the introduction of face and inhibition of the response, which is known to deviate in BD. Future studies are needed to evaluate whether the structural differences observed rs16944 relevant associated with neurocognitive function, phenotype and functional neuroimaging protein levels of IL-1β.

The relationship between genetic polymorphisms in the interleukin-10 and hematology oncology: evidence from meta-analysis.
Background: The association between polymorphisms in the interleukin-10 (IL-10) and the hematology oncology has been explored by many genetic linkage studies, with controversial findings. The purpose of the meta-analysis is more comprehensive to analyze the relationship between polymorphisms in the IL-10 and hematology oncology by combing the results of all the relevant studies.Methods: Eligible articles were searched from Pubmed, Embase, WOS and CNKI. Update the latest literature search conducted on October 8, 2019.
We used Review Manager to combine the results of studies.Results eligible: Forty-one articles were included in the meta-analysis. IL-10 polymorphisms rs1800890 was found to be significantly associated with hematologic oncology under TT vs AA + TA (recessive ratio, OR = 1.12, 95% CI 1.02 to 1.24), and rs1800896 polymorphisms were also found significantly associated with hematology oncology under AA vs AG + GG (comparison dominant, OR = 0.89, 95% CI 0.83 to 0.95) in the overall analysis combined.

In a subgroup analysis, we observed positive results for rs1800871 (comparison recessive), rs1800872 (dominant, recessive and allele comparisons), and rs1800896 (the dominant allele ratio) polymorphisms in non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) subgroups. In addition, we also detected a positive association between rs1800872 polymorphism and acute leukemia (AL) (dominant and recessive ratio) and found a significant association between rs1800896 polymorphism and chronic leukemia (CL) (comparison recessive) .Conclusion: In a nutshell, this meta-analysis showed that IL-10 and rs1800872 polymorphism may confer susceptibility to hematology oncology, especially for the NHL.
